Jenie Thai is a classically and jazz-trained pianist whose musical journey began with national recognition as a teenager for one of the highest Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music exam scores in Canada. She studied classical piano at the University of Alberta and jazz at Grant MacEwan University, where she was immediately offered a teaching position upon graduation. Jenie has performed across Canada and the U.S., appearing at premier venues and festivals including Massey Hall, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. She has also been featured in two Soulpepper Theatre productions. Known for her versatility and expressive style, Jenie brings a deep musicality to every stage she graces.
