WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Distillery District offers a unique and beautiful setting for personal photography, commercial photography, and filming.

Casual snapshots taken as memories, souvenirs, or for personal use may be taken at any time at no charge, however portraiture, photos for professional or semi-professional blogs or professional or semi-professional social media use, and any pictures taken for any kind of commercial require a permit in advance.

PERSONAL/PORTRAITURE PHOTOGRAPHY PERMITS

Permits bought via this link must be picked up during business hours at All In The Wild, 18 Gristmill Lane. Alternatively, proof of purchase can be shown to Distillery Security on the day of the shoot.

Due to large crowds on site, please check the Events Calendar before booking and be aware that event staff or security may ask your party to move at any time. Please be mindful at all times that the Distillery District is a lively neighbourhood, and that many other activities will be going on during your shoot.

Distillery Personal Photo Permits are $250 + HST available for purchase onlinePurchased permits are non-refundable.

These permits allow pictures to be taken outdoors in public areas of The Distillery for two (2) consecutive hours or less; no alternate rate is available for shorter periods.

Applicants are required to agree with the CONTRACT TERMS.

Permits are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT!

Personal Photo Permits are valid for non-commercial photography only.

Permit holder must be able to produce the Confirmation Email (on your phone or via a printed copy) if requested by Distillery Staff or Security.

The Permit is valid only in the public areas of the Distillery District, and does not allow for photography inside shops, restaurants, entryways, exits, other businesses, or on patios. Photography must not block pedestrian flow around the site or into residences or businesses.

With this permit, you may have one (1) photographer, one (1) photographer’s assistant, and handheld props or lighting/lighting aids. You are allowed a maximum of 25 guests in total.

Drone operation in the Distillery District is strictly prohibited.

You may shoot stills or video footage for personal use only.

The Personal Photo Permit does not include portraits for professional use, student film or photo shoots, portfolio shoots, editorial, fashion, or commercial photography or filming, which are subject to different rates and conditions (please see more information below).

By purchasing this Permit, you have agreed to the Distillery District’s terms and conditions.

The Distillery District is private property, and access can be revoked at any time.

Note: A permit must be obtained for all portraiture for professional use, student projects, portfolio shoots, editorial, fashion, or commercial photography, or any photography that is not for personal/family use.

COMMERCIAL, PROFESSIONAL OR SEMI-PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA OR BLOGGER PHOTO/FILM PERMITS

All filming and photoshoots within the Distillery are managed by Distillery Management. Professional or semi-professional bloggers interested in applying for a permit should fill out our online request form to arrange for a permit. This is the case regardless of whether a professional camera or smartphone are used for the photo shoot.

Note: We require at least two weeks’ notice for any photo/filming permit applications.
