Vincent Jamal is a soul/funk singer-songwriter from Barbados, now based in Toronto. Influenced by legends like Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers, and modern artists like Anderson Paak and Allen Stone, his music blends vintage soul with a fresh, contemporary feel. Vince’s sound is raw and emotional, creating deep, unspoken connections with his audience. Coming from a musical family—his father a steel pannist and his grandmother a pioneering calypso artist—he began performing in Barbados in 2015. In 2016, he was invited to sing on cruise lines, launching his full-time music career. Since moving to Toronto in 2020, he’s performed at the Poetry Jazz Café and released his debut EP, Emotional Intelligence.
