This year, the Distillery
Historic District is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a year full
of events, special programming and unique experiences. For nearly two centuries,
the Distillery District has influenced the nation’s
growth and prosperity. From a small windmill in the wilderness, the Distillery
grew into the largest in the British Empire. A hundred years later, the
Distillery District became the largest film location in the country and
is now internationally recognized as Canada’s premier centre for
Arts, Culture and Entertainment.
